Traders have seen a shift in bond markets since post-crisis regulations discouraged lenders from acting as market makers, with investors facing difficulties finding attractive deals due to a lack of trading activity. Two percent of outstanding bonds are traded daily compared with 3.5% in 2008, according to SIFMA.
