Britain has not experienced a marked downturn in its economic growth since its vote to leave the EU, and businesses intend to move forward with short-term investments and hiring plans, the Bank of England’s Agents’ Summary of Business Conditions showed. A third of the representatives surveyed expect Brexit to have a negative effect on the economy sometime in the next 12 months.
