Facebook just made live streaming 360-degree video relatively easy. The feature is integrated in the app. You will need the equipment to capture the content such as the Insta360 Nano (for iPhone) and Air (for Android).
Facebook recommends 4 Mbps down to ensure quality.
Insta360’s cameras already support live broadcasts to Periscope and to YouTube. But Facebook’s in-app integration is a useful way to reach more people with minimal effort and promotion. Live 360 broadcasts aren’t yet embeddable on other sites.
The next best thing to being there might just be virtually being there, and this new offering from Facebook might be one of the easiest ways to do that, with a built-in large audience.
