Pacific Investment Management’s new CEO, Emmanuel Roman, plans to move away from traditional bonds and invest in hedge funds, real-estate and other alternative assets. The firm will juggle the need to reassure investors in its core bond funds while separating itself from the losses that followed co-founder Bill Gross’ departure.
