Next year will be a big one for stock buybacks, Goldman Sachs Group analysts say, predicting that Standard & Poor’s 500 index companies will increase repurchases by 30%, to $780 billion. Analysts from Wells Fargo Investment Institute echoed this sentiment, adding that a buyback “would be a positive for shareholders.”
