Subway has bought Vancouver-based Avanti Commerce, a 20-person e-commerce venture that will help the quickservice sandwich chain expand its mobile ordering and payment capabilities. Subway, which operates 44,600 restaurants around the world, will also add 150 staffers to its digital team over the next five years, the company said.
