Talks aimed at reunifying Cyprus broke up after two days of meetings between Greek Cypriot president Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci. “Despite their best efforts,” the two were unable to agree on the map of a future federal Cyprus, but will “reflect on the way forward,” the United Nations said in a statement.
