Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) held the first of its ten planned Thursday Night Football games for the NFL. Overall, the launch went smooth.
Next to the streaming game was the streaming newsfeed, which allowed users to interact with one another about the game. Overall, that experience was better than expected as well.
For the company’s first go at such a big event, it went really well. Clearly, investors feel that way too, with shares climbing almost 4% on Friday. If Twitter can find a way to make the event even more interactive – via polls or promos – then it would likely be considered even more of a success.
