The British government must move swiftly to clarify the effect of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on the ability of British fintech firms to gain access to the EU’s Digital Single Market and employ skilled technology workers from the EU, the Commons Select Committee said in a report. UK officials should also “address fears” that Brexit will lead to companies leaving London, placing in doubt the UK’s position as a leader in financial-services technology, the parliamentary committee said.
