Hong Kong has modestly burnished its financial-centre credentials with beauty-app Meitu’s $629 million listing, the biggest tech deal in a decade.
Meitu is a Chinese technology company established in 2008 and headquartered in Xiamen, Fujian. Meitu is the world’s #1 beauty app developer. Using proprietary facial recognition and virtual try-on technologies.
The total number of monthly active users (MAU) of the companies services was 446 million by June 2016. MeituPic, their top app, has 52 million active daily users and 270 million MAU.
